There does not seem to be much information about 'Haynes' and Brasted.<br />There is a file on the  mills, in Sevenoaks library, which has a photograph of the two mills; they must have been a picturesque feature of Brasted in the nineteenth century.  Francis Haynes had been the miller in 1820, but it is not known if his son, another Francis Haynes continued the business.  I believe that it was developments in technology that ended the careers of the mills and millers along the Darent Valley.]]>

They are near to the mill, however I cnnot find ny trace of Haynes as millers. Mary Hunt c. 1826 in Newington 12 Dec 1847 listed father as Edward Tucker (perhaps of Waltham) c. 1801.<DIV>A John Fisher witnessed marriage. Mary Hunts parents were Thomas Hunt c. 1792 and Charlotte Champion c. 1796 both thought to be Stelling or Stanford parishes. This is likely to be because many earliest gravestones were removed and set around the edge of the graveyard and are now illegible. However the 'church' should have a list of the changes and relevant names. Entering Chevening Road from the traffic lights follow it round on your map and go past the first left turning which is Combe Bank Drive you then pass the vicarage which may be named .There are a semi detached cottages on the right and then a detached house where opposite there are now offices. This is where the hangars used to be.
