I am featuring 6 real families of the time whose menfolk were ambitiously building their businesses in the community. I am about to start researching George Verrall, the blacksmith, Sidney Vaus, a local plumber and Herbert Bird who owned a large ironmongery where Chelsea House Furnishing is now. If anybody has any information or family connections with these three guys, I would be keen to speak to you.

Thanks in anticipation

Bill
